A tiny music tip

A tiny music tip

I’d like to sit in that crowd. The word ‘crowd’ being an overstatement. NPR (National Public Radio) creates this series of intimate live performances, filmed in a room that seems to be the music editor’s desk, aptly called the Tiny Desk Concerts. They are short, all lasting around fifteen minutes and sweet, the artists seemingly feeling the vibe and/or the size of space and occasion.

The cool thing is, that you can watch these pearls to see a different performance from an artist you love, or use it as a way to discover new music. Since international superstars and to me relative unknowns alike share this mini-stage.

Here’s a couple of my favorites to get you started: Anderson .Paak, Mac Miller (very much RIP) and The Tallest Man on Earth. This is just a tiny, tiny selection! There is a wealth of gems on their youtube channel!

Enjoy!
